From what I’ve gathered on an article written by The New York Times that I found on RetailWire, our new president Biden orders to increase food stamps and the minimum wage. Biden signed two orders on Friday and they were signed to help all the struggling families and workers that have been working for a measly $7.25. His actions are intended to give more money to the less wealthy and by doing so they’re increasing the amount of food stamps given to help. This isn’t a new idea but it’s something that is always talked about but nothing really changes. I think it’s amazing that Biden is taking action to finally raise the minimum wage. So many people claim that with a minimum wage change it’ll make the cost of living higher. But, what they don’t understand or don’t want to understand is that the cost of living is going up with or without a raise. It’s been going up since the last minimum wage change. This isn’t a new innovated method but it is the first time someone has made a drastic change and is willing to help the people at least catch up and be able to make enough money to make a living. It does suck that it took a whole pandemic for a president to care enough to change something as important as minimum wage. They’re small steps and it doesn’t make THAT big of a change but it’s something to look forward to. Not a lot of people are for it especially radical rightists!!!!! “a radical leftist agenda in a divided country will not help unify our country, it will only confirm 75 million Americans’ biggest fears about the new administration.”  Said republican senator Marco Rubio
